By establishing an affiliated R&D center in 1988, Daeyang has been consistently promoting and practicing a technical pioneering spirit. In 2003, Daeyang was appointed as an outstanding technical research center with innovations by the government.

Daeyang Lighting Systems offers highly durable, professional lighting fixtures and control solutions developed specifically for the maritime, offshore platform, and heavy industry sectors. The system provides a wide product range, extending from general lighting products designed for ship living quarters and offices to fixtures for engine rooms and outdoor areas capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions and intense vibration. Key components of the system include ATEX and IECEx-certified explosion-proof (Ex-proof) lighting—critical for hazardous areas involving flammable or explosive risks—and specialized floodlights designed to operate in freezing polar conditions. All this hardware integrates with an advanced KNX digital control infrastructure that enables energy savings and smart automation, delivering a safe, efficient, and modern lighting management solution that meets global ISO standards.
Daeyang Electric manufactures high-strength marine lighting and signaling equipment for commercial and military vessels. The company’s range of navigation and signal lights is designed to meet long-range visibility standards and includes options compatible with night-vision goggles (NVG). High-lumen floodlights developed for deck areas and cargo operations exhibit superior resistance to saltwater corrosion and intense ship vibrations. Searchlights used for long-range target detection and channel navigation enable Morse code communication via manual or motorized shutter systems. Additionally, portable or fixed Aldis signal lamps—featuring mechanical shutters for ship-to-ship optical communication—facilitate precise and clear message transmission through trigger control.
Daeyang’s refrigerated container (reefer) socket and control system is an integrated solution that combines high-quality hardware—built to withstand harsh maritime conditions—with smart monitoring technologies. The system’s hardware infrastructure utilizes 316L stainless steel housings, offering superior resistance to corrosion and physical impact, alongside flexible lid gaskets designed for severe marine environments. Featuring an IP67-rated watertight design and integrated safety switches, this secure socket unit operates in full compatibility with Daeyang’s Advanced Reefer Container Monitoring System (RCMS). This control system monitors the temperature, humidity, and operational status of refrigerated cargo in real-time while facilitating two-way data flow between the containers and the ship or terminal management center. It maximizes operational safety by generating automatic alarms in the event of power failures, system errors, or the exceeding of critical climate thresholds.
Selco offers a wide range of electrical supplies for both indoor and outdoor projects. For interiors, the product range includes single and double sockets and switches available in standard white plastic as well as finishes such as chrome, black nickel, and brushed steel; these products are manufactured in compliance with BS EN 60669-1 standards. The lineup also features user-friendly sockets with integrated USB charging ports and high-amperage double-pole (DP) switches with neon indicators. For outdoor and wet areas, Selco supplies impact-resistant, waterproof socket and switch systems that feature protective covers and meet IP66 standards.
