GAC electronic actuators are designed to deliver fast, precise throttle control, replacing the engine’s mechanical throttle, improving load response times. Electronic actuators are an integral part of an electronic governing system when combined with an electronic speed controller and a magnetic pickup sensor.
GAC offers no maintenance, field proven actuators available for universal mounting, pump mount, engine mount, or throttle body control.

GAC’s governor control systems are designed and manufactured to be used with any of our actuators and meet various application requirements using the latest analog or digital technologies.
Reverse battery polarity and fail-safe protection are incorporated in every GAC speed governor. A wide variety of application needs can be satisfied with our constant or variable speed governing in isochronous or droop operation.
All circuit boards are hard potted or conformally coated to be vibration and moisture resistant.

Developed by Governors America Corp (GAC), the Gaseous Fuel and Ignition Management System (FIMS) integrates engine management into a single unit by combining the ICM200 Ignition Control Module with the AFR200 Air/Fuel Ratio Controller. Utilizing high-energy inductive spark ignition technology, the system provides full support for up to 8 cylinders in sequential mode and up to 16 cylinders in a wasted-spark configuration. Its integrated speed governor and SmartVU software enable the easy configuration of customized timing maps based on engine speed and load conditions. Fully compatible with both Hall-effect and variable reluctance camshaft and crankshaft position sensors, these modules can also operate independently of one another in the event of a failure. Through this advanced closed-loop fuel control and precise ignition timing, GAC maximizes combustion efficiency, ensuring full compliance with global emission standards.
GAC (Governors America Corp.) magnetic speed sensors are highly durable and cost-effective components that precisely measure engine speed by detecting the passage of metal teeth on the engine's flywheel or gear wheels.
These sensors generate an alternating current (AC) frequency signal that varies directly with engine speed—without requiring an external power supply—by responding to the disruption of the magnetic field caused by the passing teeth.
Far more resistant to extreme temperatures and harsh operating conditions than plastic-based or semiconductor alternatives, these components are fully compatible with all GAC electronic speed control units. They are available in over 35 variations, featuring different lengths and either American or metric thread sizes to suit industrial requirements.
